Created in 2002, the Contes en Îles international festival has continued to evolve both in terms of its programming and its media visibility. Over the years, Contes en Îles has become one of the most important storytelling festivals in Quebec.

A major event in Madelinian cultural life which takes place in the fall with the aim of prolonging tourist activity on the Islands, Contes en Îles has anchored itself in the hearts of Madelinots and in the minds of French-speakers on the continent.
